Hard to believe its another Mardi Gras already. I'm here at the W chillin, waiting on room service. The streets are crazy... this year its weird. There was a shooting at a parade. Thats scary. I avoid the night time parade action... too many suthun thugs blingin it, yo. Shame... the deep south is a bit fuct up. Anyway, I have been playing the Zoolu events for 9 years! Dayum Im old! LOLOL. Hope I survive the debauchery with my aged frame!

HOLY MOLY! Costa Rica was absolutely AMAZING! I would highly recommend that trip to anyone who wants to be warm while escaping the busy bustle of everyday technologically connected lifestyle. I was in the middle of the jungle with a small window of electricity in our bungalow and the seemingly magnified sounds of every kind of insect and animal in the world all howling out at once all night long to ease me to sleep every night. UNREAL! It really was. I so wish I had brought a recording device to record these sounds. SLAMMIN! So, more later including a full photo gallery showing you what you are missing by not going there! :)
Howdee peeps. Just crackin' out here before my 8 am flight.... to Costa Rica. So yea, no need to feel sorry for me. I'm off to the edge of the jungle, walking distance from the beach. Honestly, it hasnt hit me yet but once I land, I'll realize...ITS ON!
Other news: It looks like we have secured a venue for a 611 party at WMC. Yup, we have been around since 1993 but we never did an event... prob cause we are LOOOOOZURS! LOLOL. Well, finally, we have a slammin event set up for anyone who will be down there in South Beach on Sunday, March 7. Its a FREE pool party at the Astor Hotel. They have a pool and a Japanese garden so there will be plenty of room to mingle and shmooz and get your drink on, Miami stylee, yo. We will have our usual crew playing music for you along with these cats who call themselves, Blue Beat. SO, if you are gonna be in Miami for WMC, please support out fun lil party and get soem free swag too.
By the way, did some wicked skiing in Vail last weekend. Had the dinner of a lifetime too. Had to take a snow cat up a mountain to the restaurant. Its only accessible by snow cat and skis! LLOLOL.
SO next weekend its back to the slopes. Perhaps this time I wont smash my face at 30 miles per hour, cracking my goggles. :) I may even dare to go double black diamond like I did last weekend. phew... he he. I will hit Stowe and maybe Killington with the crew up there from Metronome and maybe some 611 cronies. Then, right after the gig and a couple of days skiing, its off to New Orleans for the usual debauchery at Mardi Gras. This will be my 9th, I think, Zoolu party. I'll be jamming at the Zoolu Allstarz party on monday. There is a nice line-up of old heads on the Monday.
So, I'll try to write from Costa Rica and let you know whats happening down there.... prob not much. :) Plenty of sun, rain forest, and relaxation. ta ta!
wow, amazing game the superbowl was, eh? I kinda wanted carolina to win... that would have made ther eagles look better! :) This past weekend I was in Lexington, KY. It is nice down there and boy do those people love their horse farms. BIG CASH estates. I hope to come back there when its warmer so I can go to a race..... or next time I might check out a Monster truck pull! Anyway, small club gigs like that are much more fun than many garbage big gigs....I prefer the intimate club environment with a long set. I wish I could have played longer! :)
This weekend, I'm gonna have a BLAST! I'm psyched! I'm taking the gf and we are going to ski ski ski and snow mobile and fall on our asses! We are going to VAIL! I will play Thurs and then hang out for two more nights and enjoy the slopes. Again, we are amateurs so we arent great skiiers but since Alaska we are well equipped with plenty of warm gear and we love the snow sports when you are not cold!
Feb is looking like a good month. Good gigs, another vacation *(this time to Costa Rica, my V day gift to the lovely woman of my life, awwwwww) and warm weather in sight for Philly~! YAY !
Also, WMC is around the corner. ugh.... thats good and bad! NO sleep, tons of talking and talking and being talked at.... good times. Anyway, I'm sure I will run into many of you reading this down there so be sure to say hello.
