Wow. This is one of those nice weekends that used to be every week... these days are a little more rare. San Diego has beautiful weather and On Broadway is always a treat with its half dozen arc lamps, vault downstairs, slammin sound, and fine sushi bar for dinner before the gig. I had a great time there.....
Now, I am in SF stayiing at the posh Clift hotel. OOoooooh yea. It's nice. Worked out in the gym, had an apple, a shower, and now I sit in the living room of my suite in my bath robe speaking to you! :) Good times. AND, it's like old school rave days. About a dozen of my SF friends are coming out for dinner. I hung out in the downstairs bar with Simply Jeff and Omar Santana as we brain stormed a new concept for a CD.... hush hush... more info soon (including Bones too.). We made the business call to Bones, sorted it all out, all agreed, and then I adjourned. Lovely! The only thing that sux is the flight home tomorrow am. Of course, I am playing 3-5 (which is 6-8 to my body clock)...good times. Then my flight leaves at 11:50 on the busiest travel weekend of the year so HELLO.... I have to go to the airport prob around 9:30 am. YAY! I GOT MAIL! YAAAAAAY! No sleep till Brooklyn! Airplane wine for the ride home, baby.
Bbbrrrrrrr. The cold winter is coming, eh? Good thing I have a few more stints into the warmer cities. I'm still hoping for an Alakan gig this winter and it may well just pan out. I had a blast last time.... minus 28 degrees. He he. Look out for another 611 Holiday Bash at Transit. A few more goodies on wax coming and a new CD in the 05. What else to say? Viva La Francais Vin!
