Vacation.... what a great time. I feel bad for the world because most people probably dont vacate as often as I. Just since late June I have vacated in Jamaica, LA/Santa Barbara, now Hilton Head, and in 10 days, Alaska. Good times! Yes, some of them are based around work, some are based around girlfriend's sister's wedding.... some are family time.
This one, Hilton Head, I am in the middle of and it is great times with the family. Tennis, beach biking, sailing and possibly scuba diving are amongst the activities...ooo, dotn forget shark fishing! :) So, soon I will return to electronic dance music world with my gig in SF at the end of this vacation... sure helps pay for all of these trips! he he. Oh, one more thing... tomorrow night, I am the chef! Wish them luck eating my concoctions! :) .... Especially since I am winging it with no recipe included. :) By the way, the water is about 87 degrees! YEA BABY!
I got to dive again! This time it was on Catalina Island, off the coast of LA/Long Beach. GOod times! I had some equalization issues on the way down... that was a lil annoying... but then all was good and I made it down to 75 feet. The water was cold down there but it was really cool. I was fully suited in a hood and boots, the wet suit.... the whole nihne. I went with this crazy expert diver. We saw a fish about the size of my leg. We saw lobsters. We saw fish that were so well camouflaged that they looked like they were painted with the same brush that painted a pic of the foliage. And, the surge under water made these huge plants look like a car wash slapping back and forth. It was pretty cool, honestly.
Next my boy Smitty and I went up to SB for the Therapy gig. That was really fun as usual. 80's night! We killed it the next day with boys trip. We rented these mini harley looking scooter bikes and cruised SB. Oh, we also had our traditional brunch on the beach at the Brown Pelican, our fav spot in the am. Right on the beach... a walk on the beach and some rock skipping. It was great. Relaxing and stress free! We were complete with flame helmets. lolol. Then we went to the beach to a new spot for a beer and a sandwich... after that, we partook in a nap on the beach. Ahhh... tough life up there! lolol Good times, indeed. More later! :)
