OK, just wanted to see if everyone was awake. So, I have become an active community member of both my work and home communities. It's kinda fun. I'm a bit of a dork but it's a good experience and nice to get input on stuff and mingle with some interesting people. I am on the board of the district where 611 is located and I frequent community meetings for my new neighborhood in Fishtown. Woot woot! Miami is coming up and I am in a bit of a pickle as I am not sure that I will be there this year. I know... it's quite strange but it's true. We shall see. Trust me. I am not happy about it. For some reason, recently, my site is getitng hit like crazy. We are getting record numbers of people here... I am not posting naked hottie raver chick pix. I don't know what it is. Imagine if I started to?!?!?! WOW! Maybe that's what i will do. I will add a tiny disclaimer and demand that the view be 18 and then IT'S ON!!! lolol. WHo knows. Anyway, it may be a few links to my site from a New Orleans message board about my gallery of the Zoolu Allstarz event and I also submitted my gallery as a link for the Love Parade SF pix. They have a section on their site, loveparadesf.org, for galleries from the parade. It's preety sweet. Anyhoo, I submitted my gallery and I believe they added it into the list. So, it's time to frequently update the gallery and the journal.... which is why I have been writing so often. Incredible. Last night, Friday night, there were TWO warehouse parties in Philadelphia! OLD SCHOOL! Unreal! They were both pretty decent and a good time! I was so psyched to see that going on in our town! They werent big budget parties with big line-ups... but they were local people playing music on sound systems for hundreds of people. slammiN! I'm psyched! Only bad thing about them is that it was hard for me to be in bed before 5 am! ooof. ;)
wow, im truly inspired. Force Inc Records, germany, requested me on myspace. now seriously, thats fucking awesome. i have jocked them since the early 90s! I mean, come on! Mike Inc.... come on!!!!! Old Ian pooley? These people were responsible for my early addiction to techno music! Wow, I am so inspired. also, today I met juliette whom I knew worked out in our gym and we (damian dieselguy), kaos, and I) used to work out around the same time she would and I recall someone saying something like she was looking for some producers, etc... now she works with stuart price, jacques le cont. slammin! her and madonna? he is a slammin producer behind so much cool music..... zoot woman, thin white duke mixes.... countless guises. anyway, a very inspiring day and also very productive on the real estate tip. picked up two new listings, turned in a deal and wrote another. :) woot woot. so now, expect some new music soon! :)
Ever have a week that went by so fast you thought it didnt end yet? Today is Friday and I swear that its Wed!!!! Whoa! :) Well, at least it's warm out. I have to admit... I have a mix to do for a track for someone and I havent done it yet! DOH! Grrrr. Ill have to find some time this weekend somehow... I have learned sooooo much about real estate this week since I have had multiple stressful scenarios and spent about 7 hours yesterday trying to put out a fire. Thats the strong point of real estate, i am learning. Putting out fires! If you can do that and keep everyone happy and on the same page, you win! :) lol. Wish I had a gig this weekend to let off some steam but I'll have to wait till next Friday till the notorious 611 monthly dive bar jam. 3/17., Live near Philthy or in it? Come by, please! WHats with this indian summer and the bizarre winter we just had? One snow storm? Melting glaciers? man... things are strange. At lease Law and Order is on about 20 hours per day. Paul Anthony and I are gonna work on a track together and I'm gonna remix a Funk Monkeys track. Good times. I very much enjoy the SNL re-runs on E. It's good times. Mo lata, sucka!
Quite the weekend we just had, eh? Beautiful weather here in Philthy... the shop did well... real estate is going very well. It's all around good times. Tax issues are always a downer but i say do what you can as you can and clear that mess up. ughhh. So, lets talk food. Wow, I have been eating like a champ lately and it shows! Time to start the regimen again. We have been walking around the neighborhood, my gf and I, and thats decent. I think we should start running soon but she says wait till we get into our routine a bit so as to not shock our bodies. Yea yea. I say we jog this week. My gut sure says jog. ISnt WMC this month>? DOH! FATTY coming down! Clear a path! DOH! I am psyched to play our 611 party on March 17 @ Medusa. Its a drinking dive bar party room and it should be a great time. I havent been to one of our monthlies yet and i hear they are a blast! Woot! Oh, I'm excited to hear Vitalic play live here on Philthy March 22 too! Woot woot!
Nuooorlawwnnss.. WHat a blast. Or was it a blur? Sun night def became a blur. I somehowe survived with only a few minor injuries. Not too bad, considering. Monday night at the State Palace, Zoolu Allstarz was alive. unreal mega rave party good times business is still quite alive and quite kicking! More later! :)
